SUMMARY
SIM Card Info reads SIM, network and device details directly from Android on
your device and displays them to you. The app has no accounts, no sign-in,
and no servers of its own: nothing you see in the app is uploaded, stored or
shared by us. The only network activity in the app comes from advertising
(described below) and from the optional latency test you can run yourself.
1. INFORMATION THE APP READS ON YOUR DEVICE
With your permission, the app reads the following from Android and shows it
on screen. This information is processed on your device only and is never
transmitted to us or to anyone else by the app:
- SIM and subscription details: carrier name, phone number (where your
carrier stores it on the SIM), country, MCC-MNC (PLMN), carrier ID, SIM
state, slot and port, physical SIM or eSIM, and which SIM is the default
for data, calls and SMS. (Phone permission: READ_PHONE_STATE and
READ_PHONE_NUMBERS.)
- Network and signal details: signal strength, network type and generation,
operator, roaming and mobile data state.
- Cell tower details (optional): identifiers of the serving and neighbouring
cell towers (Cell ID, TAC/LAC, PCI, frequency channel, bands). Android
treats cell identifiers as location data, so this section works only if
you grant the location permission when you enable it. The app does not
compute, store or share your location; the identifiers are only displayed
to you. If you never enable this section, the location permission is never
requested.
- Data usage (optional): your device's total mobile and Wi-Fi usage for the
current day and month, read through Android's Usage Access setting, and
only if you enable it there.
- Connection details: link speed, DNS servers, IP addresses and interface
names of your current connection.
You can copy or share any of this information yourself (for example as a
text or JSON report). Sharing is always started by you and goes through the
apps you choose; we never receive a copy.
2. INFORMATION THE APP STORES
The app stores only your preferences (theme, language, and whether you
enabled the optional sections) locally on your device. Uninstalling the app
deletes them. We have no servers and keep no data about you.
3. ADVERTISING
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may also use certified
mediation partners such as Meta Audience Network. When requesting and
showing ads, these partners may collect and process data on their own
behalf, such as your advertising ID, IP address, coarse location derived
from it, and device and diagnostic information. This is standard for
ad-supported apps and is governed by the partners' own policies:

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regulated
regions, the app shows a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform)
before any ad request is made, and you can change your choice at any time
under Settings → Privacy options inside the app. You can also reset your
advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation in your device's Google
settings.
4. PERMISSIONS AT A GLANCE
- Phone (READ_PHONE_STATE, READ_PHONE_NUMBERS): required for the SIM and
network details that are the purpose of the app.
- Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): requested only if you enable the optional
cell towers section, because Android gates cell identifiers behind it.
- Usage access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): granted by you in system settings,
only if you enable the optional data usage section.
- Internet and network state: used by the advertising described above, by
the consent form, and by the latency test you can run manually. The app
itself sends none of your SIM, network or device details anywhere.
5. CHILDREN
The app is a technical utility, is not directed at children under 13, and we
knowingly collect no personal information from anyone, including children.
6. DATA DELETION
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete: uninstalling
the app removes everything it stored on your device. For data collected by
advertising partners, use the controls in section 3 or contact those
partners directly.
7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same
address with a new effective date. Material changes will be reflected in the
app's store listing.
