Pulley & Belt Calculator (“the app”) works out speeds, pulley
sizes, belt length and centre distance for belt drives, timing belts and
multi-stage drives, and offers related tools (belt tension and power, V-belt
section reference, formulas). This policy explains what the app does and
does not do with your data.
Your data stays on your device
Every calculation runs entirely on your device. The values
you type, the designs you choose to save and their names, and your settings
are stored only in the app’s private storage on your phone.
None of it is uploaded, and the developer has no access to any
of it. Uninstalling the app deletes it all. When you use Share, the
text goes only to the app you pick in Android’s share sheet.
What the app does send
The app uses three Google services, each of which may transfer data to
Google’s servers:
Google AdMob shows a banner and an occasional full-screen
ad. AdMob may collect the advertising ID, approximate location derived from
the IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data, subject
to Google’s Privacy Policy.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app
asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before any ad is
requested, and you can change your choice at any time under
Settings → Ad privacy choices.
Firebase Analytics records anonymous usage events: which
calculator produced a result and in which mode, whether the result carried
a warning, which tool was opened, that a report was opened or a design was
saved or shared, and settings such as the unit system, theme and language.
Events carry no typed values, no results and no design names.
Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report when the app
stops unexpectedly: the stack trace, device model, OS version and app
version. Reports never include what you typed.
The app requests no permission other than Internet access, which these
services need. It does not access your location, contacts, files, camera or
microphone.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly
collect personal information from them.
Your choices
Withhold or withdraw ad consent (where the consent form is shown) under
Settings → Ad privacy choices.
Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android’s settings.
Delete the app’s data by clearing its storage or uninstalling it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address
with a new effective date.
