Privacy Policy — Income Tax Calculator Pakistan

Android com.tahatec.income_tax_calculator · iOS com.tahatec.incomeTaxCalculator · Published by Tahatec · Effective 17 October 2026

Income Tax Calculator Pakistan (“the app”) estimates the income tax on a salary in Pakistan for a chosen tax year, using that year’s published tax slabs. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with data, on Android and on iOS. The app is independent and is not affiliated with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) or any government authority.

The calculation happens on your device

The tax is computed by the app’s own code, entirely on your device. So that you can find them again, your calculations are kept in a history list stored only on your device: the tax year, the annual income, the tax, the surcharge and the date. Deleting entries or uninstalling the app removes them.

What leaves your device

1. Advertising. The app shows ads via Google AdMob, with Meta Audience Network as a mediated partner. The ads SDKs may collect device identifiers (the Android advertising ID, or on iOS the IDFA — only if you allow tracking), coarse location derived from the IP address, and diagnostic signals to serve and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, ads are requested only after you make a choice in the consent dialog (Google UMP). In US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data. In both cases a “Privacy options” button in the app’s toolbar lets you make or change that choice at any time. On iOS, the system’s App Tracking Transparency prompt asks before the IDFA is used, and your answer can be changed at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s Google settings.

2. Analytics. The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the calculator is used. When you calculate, an analytics event records the tax year, the annual income you entered, the resulting tax, the surcharge and the effective tax rate. The app also records your app language and the last tax year you chose. These are not linked to your name, CNIC, email or any account — the app has none — and are not used for advertising.

3. Notifications (optional). The app asks whether it may send notifications. If you allow it, the app registers with Firebase Cloud Messaging (via Apple Push Notification service on iOS) so it can receive occasional announcements, such as a new tax year’s rates, in your app language; this creates a push token for your device. Declining or later disabling notifications in system settings stops them. Notifications never contain anything about your calculations.

What the app does not do

If you share a result, it goes only to the app you choose in your phone’s share sheet. The link to the FBR website opens in your browser and is governed by that site’s own policy.

Permissions

On Android the app uses the INTERNET permission (for ads and analytics) and, if you allow it, the notification permission. On iOS it asks only for notification permission and for tracking permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Children

The app is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Deleting your data

Everything the app stores (the history list and your language preference) is on your device and is deleted by clearing it or uninstalling the app. For questions about data held by the services above, contact us and we will help.

Changes

Changes to this policy will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
